just so totally absooooolutely gross !!!!! think about it

I don't think its gross...i do think its a matter of personal choice..however one has to be the right age to make such a choice...

And remember some of this is very "cultural" to people and they see nothing wrong with it..

My daughter has her nose pierced...and like Lori..it was what she wanted for maintaining an "above average" thoroughout the school year as well as 2 certificates for "leadership" in her school, she also passed her Ontario Math tests with honors...it was the least i could do for her for all her hard work...and by the way she continues to be a high academic...even with her piercing...

I have tattoos myself and my ears pierced 12 times..i'm hardly in a position to really take up issue over this with her, however, like me she will have to be of age and pay for it herself...

I did it for the rush. My drug of choice.

I did mine this summer...almost a month into for my 30th ;-). One day it just felt right and got it done.

And it's true that most people don't notice it. Some peope who do are like ;What! you have a tongue ring! I could never tell!

I like the fact that it's discreet and that it has my own special meaning.

My kids are younger, thank goodness for that, they have not asked...Yet!
They do have ear piercings. As for nose or tongue piercings i would say no until they were older...what age? Donno at this moment but i can say when i think they are mature enough...which may be when they ask. I would also get feedback with this from my ex as we parent jointly and openly discuss the "bigger" type issues.

Now for me, i love certain piercings. I do not like an abundance, like 3 or 4 in a nose..ewwwww. i like cute and small. The tongue is my fav. A little ring on the tongue is neat, fun and makes kissing, which is all ready great, all that most interesting.

mental note: Darren likes tongue piercing cause he likes the feeling when you "kiss" him...

my nose piercing nearly killed me (well, not quite) but there's no way I'm piercin anything else- no matter how much I like the way my nose ring looks!
