Steve5721: Just finished a Martina Cole novel...she is brilliant, rude and crude and no punches pulled, but good! Just sorting out one for the beach tomorrow and looking at Dan Brown ' Angels and Demons'.

Angels and Demons is a great book. Another one of my favorites is Roses are Red by James Patterson. That is a perfect beach book because it is such a fast read.

I have a big collection of Heinlein's books. So many are way better than "Stranger...." IMO his absolute best was "The Door Into Summer"

At the moment, I've got about 6 books I read bits of at different times of the day. But every night (for now) I snuggle up with Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment.

I don't think I have been able to find that one...no, I take that back...I have not been able to find that one...I like "Stranger" but I think I really prefer both Farnham's Freehold and the Number of the Beast....
There are a few more of his books that are hard to find...drives me up a wall to visit a smaller bookshop and ask if they can assist in the search, they agree and then I get disappointed when they call back the next day...saying sorry...can't help....frustrating!
