I just bumped this thread .... Because ......
.... my singing Chef has been invited to enter the Swiss Search for Talent .......!
He goes thru a prelim ...... and then the BIG voting moment is in January some time....
I want all of you to promise to vote for him.... its going to be a Phone-In vote .... and audience vote ....
...for GARRY JONES ...I dont know yet which song he will be singing - he can take in pre-recorded music and then he sings ..... you know the talent search style?
He would really really like to make-it in the music world ... he is tired of laying bricks on building sites ..... and cooking for snobs... (not me, just other snobs)

I just heard ..... from Garry .... the Talent contest finals will be held this Saturday on Swiss TV .... Station SF1.
It`s one of those phone in things for voting ......
The show is pre-recorded .. with all their mistakes, and funny things included. Should be interesting?
We going to have all our favourite people here for supper that night .... and then drinking ..... while we watch the show.
I ask all you loyal CS`s to try and vote for him? He really wants to win this competition ... it`s his "make or break" situation ... if he loses he will just go back to bricklaying .... and if he makes it .. he will be a very happy fellow! He loves his music and singing!... far more than bricklaying in the snow on freezing building sites!
oh yes ... the show should go on just after 8pm Swiss time.

Thank you for your show of confidence.... He is really good!
He has a new song ... "Halleluja" that he sings AND plays the piano .... really goose-bump material! He played the single on a CD for us .... brought tears to our eyes!
In the pre-recordings ... he made mistakes on the piano, being nervous ... and all this is going to be on the show on Saturday night.

..and the little clip of two guys in a boat ... well that is my son on the right and Garry on the left .....on the Rein here .. they went out and chased girls that day trying to act like teenagers ...well Garry was the teenager cause my sons wife was chaperoning, and took the photo.....
