I wish you luck with that one - most jobs in the army anymore require a security clearance which you cannot get under any circumstances, via waiver or other till you are sworn in as a US citizen as a bare-bones minimum. There are other disqualifying factors based on the level of clearance granted, and which jobs you'd be allowed to do just the same.

Also, I believe there's more to the story then what's being shared... I don't think it's due to the military at all, I actually suspect immigration status to be a US citizen without having to go through the greencard lottery that a few countries over there enforce.

I would be careful to actually check into this to see if its in fact true or not ..... as I wouldn't want to see a family separated because of false assumptions. As well to advocate that someone should have a child simply to gain entry into a country seems to place a child in a position of not be truly desired but merely an entry ticket. I don't personally think that any child should be used as a pawn to achieve entry into a country.
