AustinWien: I mean it does my bloody head in! Why cant people hold their knife and for properly here in Austria (Southern Germany, Hungary etc...) I love living here and its my only pet peeve!!
When eating, I hold my fork in my right hand like I would a pencil. When cutting, I hold my fork in my left hand and my knife in my right hand. I don't know if I'm doing it "wrong" but it works for me and I don't make a mess or anything. I can also eat and cook with chopsticks. The only thing I have difficulty with is something very slippery.
