RE: greatest marriage proposal

SO sweet! I wish someday there will be someone who would go to that much trouble to want to marry me.

RE: Ladies! Which one of these man ,u would never date.

I will never date a man who collects welfare because he doesn't feel like working when he's perfectly capable of doing it. Or a guy who thinks he's 'too cool' for education.

RE: MAN....

I don't know, man! They are all "You wanna come out here to Boston" but when you are like "Sure, and want to come out here to Springfield next weekend" they suddenly stop responding to their emails... Right?!
Especially meeting over the internet, people don't want to put in very much effort to starting a new relationship when they don't know how it's going to turn out...thumbs down

RE: Russian brides

I wish you luck and hope everything works out.
I know 1 man who did get a "mail order bride" from Russia and we all thought he was absolutely nuts (this man is a leader in the Church my brother goes to) but they are definitely soulmates. Although them finding eachother was arranged by a third party, they would not have pursued the relationship if they weren't genuinely in love with eachother. They are very happy together now for more than 3 years.
That said, women are not miraculously different in other countries. Women are women. In any country there are those that lie, cheat, steal, and are self-centered, vindictive, ungrateful, nagging, etc etc. There are also those who are generous, loving, nurturing, honest and trustworthy. In your own country or in Russia, I hope you can find a woman you are happy with!

RE: GREAT NEWS!!! ANSWER TO PRAYER!!!

Congratulations and best of luck to you in your new job!

RE: How can people afford to date these days?

I would go on a cheap date and each pay for ourself the first time, if we don't end up liking eachother why waste so much money? Even if I've been dating someone for a while, such an expensive date is something I could only justify occasionally.

RE: When First Meeting someone for a Date, Sould you Greet them with:

A wave to catch the person's attention if you are meeting in a public place.
A smile to let them know you are happy to meet them.
A handshake would be okay to let them know you respect them as an equal. Unless he went to shake my hand first, I wouldn't initiate it though, it seems too formal.
An awkward hug would probably be OK, though I don't like people I don't know very well touching me. A kiss on the cheek would also be on the 'pushing it' side of acceptable.

RE: Interracial Dating

Good for you! And good luck!
My brother dated a black girl for 2 years, no one in our family had any problem with it. She was a real spoiled princess though, but that was her personality, it didn't have anything to do with her race.

RE: For WOMEN ONLY: What is your sort of dream man for a good marriage?

Please add "a dependable man"! I just want to marry a man who won't cheat and who can hold a job so we can live in a decent house. We don't need a mansion or fancy cars or anything like that.

RE: Was this Wrong of me?

If it was me, and the thing I really wanted was a child, not a husband, I'd have left you.
Women can only have kids for a short percentage of our life. It's fine for men to wait until later in life, but for us girls it's dangerous to ourselves and our child to give birth after ~40.

RE: Are women happier if their place is in the home (traditional role)?

I don't think that anyone should HAVE to do anything. It should be absolutely fine for couples to work things out however works best for them. I don't care what other couples are doing, I don't feel pressure to be a certain way.

As for me, I want to work full time until I have kids then become a stay-at-home mom until the kids are in school full time and go back to work part time. Maybe when the kids are in high school I can go back to full time. If my husband (we're going to assume I'm married if I'm having kids) can afford that I don't have to work for income, I'd love to stay home and keep the house spotless, but I don't think it's realistic.

RE: Would You Date someone Who Lives in another Country??? What would you look for???

I would, but only if we could be together in real life in the foreseeable future. He'd have to be willing to move here, or he'd have to be in a country I'd be willing to move to. Language barrier doesn't really bother me, I've studied 7 languages so far and feel confident I could learn whatever language I'd need to to live in another country, but only if it's a safe country with a good economy.

RE: How does this sound....?

Also, maybe peak over your shoulder to make sure no one's swimming there at the moment. You wouldn't want to land on them!

RE: what would be the main reason that anyone would wish 2 be in a relationship with you?

I'm faithful, period. I have never cheated on anyone and I can honestly promise that I never will.

I'm fun to be around (I think!) once I warm up to you. I'm initially very uptight around new people and it takes me a while to become comfortable enough to be myself.

RE: your motto in life?

I'd adopted a Gandhi quote as my life motto: You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

RE: is it personality clashes that keeps you single

Yeah I'm kind of the same. Not so much that I'm picky, but that I'm kind of... snobby? Or maybe 'judgemental' is a better word? I'm a very hard worker and I look down on people who I feel are not as driven as I am. It's like I look around me and see only deadbeats. Of course that's not really the case, but I'm an overachiever, and normal people look lazy from where I'm standing. I'm trying to improve this bad quality of mine.

RE: Best part of your Body Is ?

My hair! I spend a lot of time keeping it healthy.

RE: .............CONVERTING,-IN THE NAME OF FAITH?........

Despite the stereotype to the contrary, I've found many Muslim men to be much more respectful of women and faithful to their wives than many Christian men. Of course there are exceptions and this is certainly not true in all cases, but this is a trend I've noticed.

If I was in love with a man who is Muslim (or whatever religion), I would consider 'converting'. My problem is that I do not believe in god, period. Christian god, Muslim Allah, etc. I can't change that fact. But I'd be willing to live the lifestyle of my family, whatever religion they practice.

RE: How to meet unknown man

I agree. I think some of the men (and some of the women) don't realize they aren't actually looking for a relationship, but a hook-up.

RE: how many women are single n looking here..rite now.!!!

I'm surprised there are women on here who aren't single and looking.
I'm single and looking. innocent

RE: Any amish lifestyle lovers here

I admire the Amish lifestyle. Preserving nature and depending on oneself to produce everything you need is really admirable. But I don't have the same religious beliefs as the Amish.

I think the people who made stupid comments on this post are really immature...

RE: Does Frankness, honesty of words used on Profile pay in real on CS ?

I think it's good to express yourself as best you can in your profile. As for me, I considered just writing a long list of things I DON'T want in a partner, haha. It would save time... But it would be pessimistic and obnoxious.

RE: Which one is the best country in the world for Living ?

Quality of life is very good in USA. There are a lot of social problems, but in general it's possible to live very happily here, I think.

RE: CAN YOU WEAR NIQAB OR BURKA if you travel to middle east or Iran?

This. I would not want to offend people when I am a visitor in their country.
However, I also would worry that if I wear Niqab/Burka when I visit a muslim country, I would offend people. I don't think non-muslims are supposed to? Perhaps it's considered 'an honor that must be earned' ? I don't know. Maybe I'd consult someone who knows what's appropriate.

RE: Teens Travel with Teachers Abroad.

Sure if they are in High School. My highschool had summer trips to France, England and Spain. I couldn't afford to go, but I know many who enjoyed it.

RE: Why cant people hold their knife and fork properly?

When eating, I hold my fork in my right hand like I would a pencil.
When cutting, I hold my fork in my left hand and my knife in my right hand. I don't know if I'm doing it "wrong" but it works for me and I don't make a mess or anything.
I can also eat and cook with chopsticks. The only thing I have difficulty with is something very slippery.

RE: living alone and cooking

I live alone and I do find it really difficult to cook single servings of everything. I have so much stuff in my freezer...
It takes me 6 meals to finish a $1.00 box of pasta! I buy big packages of meat and then separate it into single-serving portions and freeze them, to use one at a time. My grocery bill is very low, though! I spend like 100-150$ tops on groceries every month, and I eat home cooked from scratch meals every day. The only thing I use the microwave for is to defrost something if I forgot to take it out of the freezer in the morning.

RE: what is the best food to cook for first date?

Cook something you know how to cook, cook regularly, and are good at. Nothing worse than trying a recipe for the first time and it comes out terrible!
Also, it'd be safe to avoid exotic food that people are more likely dislike, or food that people often are allergic to, such as seafood or nuts.
Of course, you could ask your date a few questions ahead of time to get an idea of their preferences and allergies.

My favorite food is Salmon, and it's pretty easy to cook!

RE: for WOMEN only: Is height important in a relationship with a man?

I like to date men taller than me, but since I'm 4ft9in/145cm, there aren't many men shorter than me!
My last 2 boyfriends were both over 6ft tall, though. It was a little awkward.

RE: Are women turned off by men who hav done time in prison?

Yes, I'm completely against dating criminals, sorry.
