Orla2010: Winter in Europe is nice. I think so anyway! I love going to the Christmas markets in Germany and drinking lots of mulled wine and eating lots of German sausage
I think winter in the Bahamas, Australia, or Mexico would be even better.

Hiya H....oh its getting cold here now too...I have my woolly socks on tonight...for the first time in months...a sure sign that winter is just around the corner

I have a major collection of stripey knee high socks .... and as one of men I work with says ... they are the kind of thing his 8 year old wears!

You can't beat socks!!! I have an awful habit of showing people my knee-highs when I am wearing them
The stripier the better! Don't like itchy socks though - someone gave me "natural" undyed hair socks before and they were nasty!

Mine are: dusting off the hot water bottle , seeing the leaves on the trees change colour, the fact that the TV programmes generally get better, hot chocolate and the occasional hot whiskey

there is very little I love or like about winter.... the grey wet days drive me nuts and kill a bit of my soul
I hate going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.
I despise the cold and worse still the damp. If we have another "ice age" like last christmas I will surely die!
Ugh I said the "C" word...christmas...hate that too....
The only good thing about winter to me is not feeling guilty when I spend an entire day in bed sleeping and reading! When the sun is out and I am in bed I feel like I am missing out on life
