I'm personally of the opinion it is a definite hoax as long as she isn't showing up on the registry of missing children.

liakos: few months ago smbdy poisoned a cat. 99% of people said the cat's already dead, even though she wasnt. thankfully i was drunk enough not to pay attention to their condescending logistics, speeded home, got anti poison pet shots, rushed back, did the shots, stayed up all night with the cat vomiting blood on my shoulder and me slapping it not to get into a coma. , and taking her to the pet hospital 6oclock in the morning, where the doctor told me she'd probably die. stayed up 2 more days with the cat on pet intensive care needles IV and all. cat's now alive and taking care of two kittens, just cause i naively cared, against odds and drunk enough to be picturesque for most people. if it's a hoax shame on people. if it's not, shame on prejudiced people.

well the fact it does not show on the Evansville IN Police missing kids DB, that's something.
does it mean it was never reported to the police in Evansville? I would think the OP and the mother would do that first before posting on an international dating site such as CS.

Actually, that's a very valid point - a few people have used Facebook in the past to search for their "missing" relatives, and some of those people had very good reasons not to involve the police in that search mission.
It's good to try and be helpful, but if someone is found, who has very good reasons to hide from the person who is searching - well, the consequences are unthinkable...

There are sick people in this world who don't get this kind of care and this was extended to a cat? It's not like we're talking about a Siberian Tiger that is in danger of going extinct.
10's of 1000's of Ferrel cats are euthanized every year because "pet lovers" don't take responsibility for preventing unwanted pregnancies.
