Amenda: Why British Finance Minister is called Chancellor of the Exchequer? add two more new words to English
English and Scottish: status name for a secretary or administrative official, from Old French chancelier, Late Latin cancellarius ‘usher (in a law court)’. The King’s Chancellor was one of the highest officials in the land, but the term was also used to denote the holder of a variety of offices in the medieval world, such as the secretary or record keeper in a minor manorial household. In some cases the name undoubtedly originated as a nickname or as an occupational name for someone in the service of such an official.

Its a title that goes back many centuries it was once called the Lord of the Treasury. The Chancellor is in control of all of Britains finance & economic interests.

If you are selling the Chinese the same Rolls Royce engine that Quantas has on her A380s, make sure to get that in non refundable funds. The Chinese just might some of their money back.....when parts fly off the engine.
Just joking here..Rolls Royce makes a great jet engine.

I think you mean QANTAS ( used to be Queensland & Northern Territory Air Service).
Cathay Pacific & Singapore Airlines have grounded their A380s for the same reason now
