thats true but at the same time if your in your car with the window down you will have your handbrake on whats to stop someone running up and grabbing you in the car. at least if your at a normal atm you can fight back/run but if your caught unawares in your car your screwed. the ones in kuwait are at petrol stations and are covered in tunnel type things but you cant see if someone is hanging about at the end of it

They have drive through ATM's at the banks in America aswell, They are quite safe there as they are located on the outside of banks (usually on the back wall) its quite open so you can see anyone lurking around, and I haven't known any issues of robberies or anything at ATM's there (Not saying there never has been, just in my experience of them haven't heard anything bad happening) They are brightly lit and most banks have 2 machines to drive up to (safety in numbers?) - yes, its lazy, but also quite handy aswell, especially in the snowy cold weather!
Also, they have drive through pharmacies aswell - which I always thought was fascinating as a kid as you send off your prescription and money through a clear tube that starts by your car, goes up to the roof then down into the chemists. Again, lazy, but in bad weather or for older folks, very handy indeed!
