A bit of generalising going on here I think.

Whether we have arms and legs has nothing to do with how we are feeling. I am sure, that being human, everyone, including him, has bad days and rails at the world.

Seeing a video of anyone on a good day is inspiring, but not reality. It is not right to compare one person's disability with another's that might not be so easily seen.

Let people be who they are. Good days, and bad ones, come to everyone, and there are a lot worse things than having no limbs.....wine

I'm pretty sure if I was missing vital limbs it would make a hell of a difference to how I felt.j.m.o.

of course there are worse things, but like i said this has so much to be angry abt and to say why me!!! but he is making the best of his life, that makes us put things in the right perspective and dont worry abt how we look or other little things in our lives i know a lot of bad things happen to people, dont deny that.

Not disputing that. Just don't like people making comparisons about things they know nothing about. No one can compare anyone's pain, nor can they say one person has more to be cheerful about than another. Everyone has their own devils to deal with.

For instance, a person obsessed with their looks can have a mental illness and it can be a matter of life or death, in reality, whether they look good or not, or whether someone says something like "you have alot to be grateful for, look at so-and-so with no limbs"....... I have seen people die with less provocation.

So, my point, again, is........it is not right to compare ANYONE or their conditions.wine

I have no problem with people wanting to be cheerful or grateful for what they have, but it is their choice how they deal with things or what they appreciate or crib about.....

All the starving children in the world comparisons won't make a western child eat a meal if he doesn't want to, or be greatful for it, if it is something he doesn't like.........

Making people feel guilty doesn't work. peace

Against the rules to get personal here...Name calling is a NO-NO!!!...scold

I understood you perfectly.

You said that you felt better when you compared your life, having your little troubles and so on, to the life of someone who had no limbs.....and said it makes you feel better about yourself to do that.

I got it!

No need to get irked because I voiced my opinion.peace
