Yep. The BDO championship now is just for Hankey and Adams, who are too cowardly to jump ship, and young guys looking to use it as a training ground before switching. Scott waites will be a PDC player before too long I reckon.
The BDO's number 2 and 3 seeds are players who I've never heard of and debutants at their championships. Says it all really.
Incidentally I think if Fordham was well enough to play, he'd have switched by now.

I didn't even realize there were 2 governing bodies, now i understand why I never see Taylor in any of the tournaments even tho he is supposed to be the best ever player

I think it would be rare to find a bdo player with a 100+ average in a tournament,nearly all of last 8 of the pdc players are in and around the 100+ average.so yes,the players are a lot better.

It's not even necessarily that they're better players, it's just that anyone who is a good, ambitious player, even in the BDO, will eventually switch over. A handful of BDO stalwarts like Hankey and Adams will stick with the BDO until the end, probably win it another time or 2 each and fool themselves that it makes them greats of the game.

True, but to be fair, only half of them were in the PDC 5 years ago. So it's not that the BDO adon't have good players through their ranks, but the ambitious ones will always move.

He is, I met him at the Darts in Killarney in 2009, a friend of mine who was covering the tournament for a local paper, introduced me to him. He was really nice.

Very true,i do think that it would be a good final,the standard has improved in darts dramatically,i would love to see someone wipe the smug look off Taylor in a final though,hes a bit of an a**hole really lol
