Advice needed on "friendship" sites (17)
To be honest, you're better off just staying on the dating sites. No matter what site you use, you will always get some trying for more than friendship.

I have a bottle of cod liver oil tablets in the kitchen....they are always very polite to me and have never given me an arguement or thrown things! Well I haven't been on the cod liver oil/coffee site or the other one, but I was actually going to recommend this site! I have been on here for about 14 months now and have made loads of good friends....only problem is, they all live miles away, but then I do live in the middle of nowhere! 
When I first joined Connnectingsingles I was really only looking for friends, and like you, found it impossible to find any "friends only" site....they all seem to be dating sites. I did initially join a couple, but found them to be pretty intense ie. if you didn't want a serious relationship or date, then there was nothing else.
I find that even though Connectingsingles is primarily a dating site, it is much more open and friendly than any of the other sites, and there is so much to join in with on here. I have made most of my friends on here through the forums. It is a good way of getting to know people (male or female).

Hey thanks Juneau, but as you said they are all far away. And i want to go out and meet people, I'm actualy a bit fed up with cyber stuff and dating for that matter, so decided this yr i'd try another tack. And as they say "It happens when you least expect it".
