Hi - I'm 48 yrs old, 5' 11.5" tall, with brown eyes, dark blonde hair and of average build. I have a real passion for wildlife, natural history and animals. I love the sea, beach-combing, lighthouses and boat trips (I’ve been to most of the Scottish islands). I also really enjoy theatre, cinema, concerts, photography, “Garden Open Days”, exploring new places and learning new things. I am a lady of contradictions really - I have led a very adventurous and unusual life, have always loved outdoor pursuits and have always been really fit and active, however 20 yrs ago I developed M.E. (chronic fatigue syndrome), Fibromyalgia and migraines, and 15 yrs ago I had to give up work, college, outdoor pursuits and dancing. I won’t lie to you - it does cramp my style an awful lot, but I try and get out and about doing things whenever I am able, and I remain hopeful that one of these days I will recover (maybe with the love of a good man and a ugly boxer dog!...wait a minute!..Just checking I got that the right way round! I am told I have a good sense of humour, an enquiring mind and am also a bit quirky! Is that last one a good trait? ha ha! I have a great love of life and a very evident sense of curiosity and wonder about...well, everything really!

Since joining CS I've made some wonderful friends from all over the world, but I suppose, like everyone else, I would love to meet that special someone. Someone to share the rest of my life with, someone who could love and accept me just the way I am. I know it sounds corny, but I am an old romantic, and have a lot of love to give to the right person. My "ideal" man would be someone who shares my interests, has the same outlook in life and accepts my limitations. He would be equally happy sledging in the snow, walking on a beach in a force 9 gale watching the huge waves crashing onto the rocks, being able to appreciate the stillness and beauty of sitting by the edge of a loch watching the sunset, or going into the city for an evening at the theatre.
