Hi - I'm 48 yrs old, 5' 11.5" tall, with brown eyes, dark blonde hair and of average build. I have a real passion for wildlife, natural history and animals. I love the sea, beach-combing, lighthouses and boat trips (I’ve been to most of the Scottish islands). I also really enjoy theatre, cinema, concerts, photography, “Garden Open Days”, exploring new places and learning new things. Some Fav Films: Amelie, Australia, Midnight in Paris, Chocolat, Four Weddings, The Bucket List, The Horse Whisperer. Some Fav TV: Northern Exposure, Sherlock Holmes, According to Jim. Michael McIntyre has me fits of laughter, as does Top Gear! Love science/nature/adventure docs too. Fav Music: Country, Soul, Rock n' Roll, Blues, R&B, Surf Rock, 40’s - 80’s.... all sorts really, just not the current pop music! Big Chris Isaak fan. I am a lady of contradictions really - I have led a very adventurous and unusual life, have always loved outdoor pursuits and have always been really fit and active, however 20 yrs ago I developed M.E. (chronic fatigue syndrome), Fibromyalgia and migraines, and 15 yrs ago I had to give up work, college, outdoor pursuits and dancing. I won’t lie to you - it does cramp my style an awful lot, but I try and get out and about doing things whenever I am able, and I remain hopeful that one of these days I will recover (maybe with the love of a good man and a ugly boxer dog!...wait a minute!..Just checking I got that the right way round! I am told I have a good sense of humour, an enquiring mind and am also a bit quirky! Is that last one a good trait? ha ha! I have a great love of life and a very evident sense of curiosity and wonder about...well, everything really! I am a friendly, very open person, but can be pretty shy if I think someone likes me I guess, what with one thing and another I have just lost my confidence when it comes to dating - not much help when you're on a dating site eh!!
Since joining CS I've made some wonderful friends from all over the world, but I suppose, like everyone else, I would love to meet that special someone. Someone to share the rest of my life with, someone who could love and accept me just the way I am. I know it sounds corny, but I am an old romantic, and have a lot of love to give to the right person. My "ideal" man would be someone who shares my interests, has the same outlook in life and accepts my limitations. He would be equally happy sledging in the snow, walking on a beach in a force 9 gale watching the huge waves crashing onto the rocks, being able to appreciate the stillness and beauty of sitting by the edge of a loch watching the sunset, or going into the city for an evening at the theatre. Oh, and needless to say... must have a great sense of humour and love dogs :O) Likes: honesty, monogamy, kindness, caring, responsible, compassionate, reliable, romantic, and that all important sense of humour! Dislikes: drunkenness, smoking, reality tv, soap operas, scary movies and football. Sorry! :O)
Have had a very rough few years due to all sorts of things really, but I am hopeful that 2013 will be the start of better and happier times! ** HI - IT'S MARCH 2013 - HAVEN'T BEEN ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS - LIFE, HEALTH, TOO MANY SCAMMERS ETC GETTING IN THE WAY - YOU KNOW HOW IT IS. I WILL BE BACK ON FROM TIME TO TIME TO CATCH UP WITH OLD FRIENDS & PESTER A FEW PEOPLE :O) **

Born in Norfolk. Lived in Scotland for 21 yrs. Spent 1/2 my adult life working all over the British Isles, so have met a lot of people from all over the world. That is the only reason I can think of, for my having such eclectic tastes!

Deep down I am quite a spiritual person. I used to go to church throughout my 20's, but haven't been now for many years, and don't belong to any organised religion. I guess these days I would class myself as more of a Humanist.
Am unable to work due to illness so... "Housewife"
