Pandora is the name I used the first time I ever went on a social site on the internet... back when I was a university student in Texas. Since someone already had the name on CS, I added a 
to it.
I chose it because of the tale in Greek mythology.
Pandora was created by the Gods ... she was the first woman. Basically the Greek religion's Eve. And like Eve, she was blamed for the evil in the world. Of course being created by those Gods means that the curiosity in her was built in to set her up for the fall. She was meant to punish mankind for Prometheus' gift of fire.
She opened the box out of curiosity, releasing all the evils onto mankind, just like Eve took the apple from the tree out of curiosity after being talked into it by the ultimate liar of all time, Satan.
Funny thing that, it took the best liar ever (Satan) to fool Eve... but it only took a mere woman, Eve, to fool Adam.
After all the evils escaped the box, Pandora found hope inside.
After all, joining this site was an act of hope... that someday I might find love again.
