I would like to drive to Sydney to visit some old haunts and have been offered a place to stay with a friend who is much younger than me. As i am waiting on another knee replacement and will be out of action for ages after op sleeping on the floor is not a comfortable option. His sister and 3 kids are also staying so he said i can bunk in with him. I have shared many a bed/tent camping with friends and dont have a problem with that but i am concerned about what his family will think and the repercussions for him. He says its his problem. Should i stay.......... help I would never put anyone out of their own bed.

Bonsai, if your friend wants to give up his bed dunno then by all means let him grin

Have you thought about grabbing/borrowing a good camping stretcher? that would solve all the problems. You'd have your own bed, at a good height, they are comfortable, and no one will be put out of their bed grin

Good thought Shell. I have every other piece of camping crap available except a stretcher. No one to borrow from so will look at buying one on the way. Hope there is room for it somewhere. The cost of a bed for a few nights is expensive. ps.....i have trouble getting off the loo some days uh oh sorry too much info lol.
