silentspring: I do believe if you have to pay a certain amount a month, you expect to get something for the money which naturally makes an effort a little more worthwhile. Also you figure most who join the site are walking the same path you do.
Did you know there is a Dating Site in Sweden for bored married people, that is how far it is going. Örk!!!

Well yeah that was my way of looking at it. I think if someone is prepared to take out the credit card then it shows they are serious about finding someone. And before someone says im wrong im just giving my own opinion not saying im right. A dating site for marrieds, now thats pushing the boat out!!!

You probably are right about the serious side about finding someone. The nut to crack in this case is wheather it is a bad idea to try to find someone on a dating site. I talk to people, many say they would not even go there, then again we have people who have met on a dating site and are in relationships brilliantly working. Nothing wrong in any of it, a personal matter.

I belong to the alianated kind that do not fall in love or get attracted by a pretty face or a smooth sixpack. Unfortunately I need to combine the external with an internal belonging.
I laugh a lot around here, but just laughs do not make my heart accelerate, although humor is great. I like to see some great serious comments as well.....to my surprise, I have seen some flashes of it tonight.
Have fun and continue enjoy this site, I do so too.

On the long run silentspring you get to know who is truthful or not.
I met my recent partner here and even if it did not work out CS helped us get to know each other.
I think this site is good if you really go for what you are looking for and even if their are people that are here for the fun and the jokers you can enjoy the ride.
Their are alot of topics people write about and you learn from them.
Be patient as there are men out there that can be a match for you.

You are right. This is a good experience as anything else. You can meet someone anywhere and it shows not to work out. I guess you may be fortunate to meet someone here and it can work out. The odds are the same at the end of the day.
I only started to get the feeling I was being the only one actually "looking", in a relaxed fashion though, and came about to think I was wasting my time, appearantly spending it on a site where people connected only for the fun of it. I have met a new side of persons here tonight, I am happy I posted the thread.

potter1: It definatly does not live up to its name, to alot of ppl on cs it just relieves bordom.As it is always the same dozen or so ppl on the forums day in day out. If it changed to a site you have to pay for over 70% of ppl would vanish overnight. Good luck
You are right. I just read one post saying a pay site is more serious due to the fact the wallet is involved. It is a sad thing few things that we can get for free are being respected and well valued.

there is many elements to this site, plus opportunity for singles to "possibly" find each other "if" all parties are in agreeance and follow through?
it doesn't mean you will find success if you hang out on the forums in hope that someone happens along. if you're serious and want to take the time. you have thousands of pages of opportunity to research and follow up, and maybe, just maybe you will find success?
the odds are even for everyone, you just have to go a little further sometimes to increase your odds, if that's your goal?
