Thank you Starshinebright, When I was 17-18 use to seek in the California club to see her I love At Last you dont wanna hear me sing it. My ex boyfriend said he thought I looked like her and a few others of course I see a little resemblence when I was younger wearing blone hair. Nobody can sing At Last like her. I am sadden to hear this about her.

me too, I saw her at Morongo Casino a few yrs ago, great show, she had so much energy....and she lives right here in Riverside.....hard news to hear

Read of her troubles; it's a shame. What a phenomenal singer. I have her 1997 cd Love's Been Rough On Me, and it's one of my favorites.

The 72 year-old singer, best known for her 1961 hit 'At Last', was still performing live right up until 2010.
Details of James's conditions were revealed after her husband Artis Mills asked a California court to allow him to take control of more than $1 million (£630,000) of her money, reports the Associated Press.
In Mills' submission to the court, he has indicated that James can no longer sign her own name and needs help eating, dressing and with ablutions. His request will be heard in court today (January 14).
