demonfairy: Mine started out pretty good till i got to work.Got my hand held computer,was ready to sell tires and oil changes,when the manger called and told us someone had just called in saying their was a man behind the building loading a shotgun...would one of us please go check it out.. Well you didn't she this girl raising her hand for that job! But 3 brave men or stupid men,which ever one you want to call them,went running to see Now tell me what were they going to do against a armed man
Needless to say,by the time they got their,he was gone or had never been there to start with,but i kept my eyes on the corner of the building all day till i clocked out. even if the call was a joke,it meant that the caller has this in the back of his mind,who's to say he want do it for real...some people are just crazy,How was your day?

instead of calling you, your manager should have called 911.
call your manager, and tell them someone was seen loading a shotgun outside their house where their family is.
see if they want to know why your first call was to them.

Glad to hear that everything was alright, but I'd be taking steps to find out what the procedures are in the event of an emergency happening. Are staff aware of the procedures? Doesn't sound like it.

I was savaged by a ferocious mouse. I was in the garage and decided to move some things around. One thing I moved was an old chest of drawers with a lot of junk in it. I know for sure that mice get in there some times. It's old and wood. They seem to like old wood boxes a lot. So, I assumed it was safer to move in winter than in summer. But this is a warm winter, so the mousies still come out. I moved the thing and then I was trying to jam one of the drawers in. It looked like something small, furry, gray and oval came shooting out. I screamed my head off. Then I checked my pants and boots to make sure it had not crawled up there to hide. Mice hide in the weirdest places. Then I regained composure and finished rearranging the furniture.

Never raise your hand for that. When they ask me to do something really crazy at work I always think of what I am paid and they are usually making more so should be them running out there You will be able to write a book soon. Thanks for that bit of info. Today I will be emptying out my old wood trunk and finding other places to store my blankets and linens. I'm also now a little leary of doing that and scared not to do it
