You are not on your own, I am everything a lot of woman are looking for in a man, but im just not pretty enough, its a very sad place to be sometimes.

Looks are only skin deep as they say and there is nothing wrong with yours "pin up" guy. Great pics and profile. Who wants a pretty boy anyway, not me.

yes...it can seem that way..but down the track when you do finally find ur dream man.. on reflection..this frustrating experience revels it is all just part of the journey ( gees been along journey for me lol)
I agree it shouldn't be about looks either, but lot of times it feels like a lot of guys judge by the looks. I am not perfect either, I do have about an extra 20kgs that I am trying to lose at the moment, cause I feel that if I am not slim and sporty looking, no one will consider me (perhaps this is not true, it just feels that way). I am a caring, honest and affectionate person and to me someone's personality and the connection is the most important, and I just wish I could find someone who would look at things from the same non-superficial angle.

Well i have thought long and hard about the word Love what does it mean, and why is it we can fall in love, and love each other with so much passion, yet we can also fall out of love just as quickly as it happened. I go back to my last love, and my only true love, thought it would last forever, but it went as fast as it came, why do we wish sometimes for what we cant have, not sure never will be, but one never really should give up, i like to think i am wiser now, and if i have to wait for the right man, let it be that way, and love is more than a word or a passing thought. be patient and it will happen.Scorpia: I agree it shouldn't be about looks either, but lot of times it feels like a lot of guys judge by the looks. for the people who want a quick fix, or a trophy on their arm, (both male and female) it is about the looks.
But there are genuine people out there(shucks ever the optimist hey!)
a lot of beauty is self confidence and not just looks, you can have a beautiful looking person but they have no self esteem so they dont put themselves forward and hide within themselves.
Confidence is beautiful, have confidence in yourself. I used to be 30+kgs heavier and now know that people actually did find me attractive even then, but I didnt believe and didnt think it was possible.
we can be our own worst enemies at times and hold ourselves back by thinking if we just improve this.....
everyone is beautiful in their own way.. it has to be true.... they wrote a song about it!

Gosh sounds soooo familiar, !! and indeed totally annoying, i have to say im not sure what it is, IF i knew the answer i think i would be rich...lol, yeah, can get u bit down..but i say whatever....try to stay on positive side, Follow the yellow brick road ;P
Thank you all for the kind and supportive words :0) It is nice to see that there are real people like you all are out there :0) Definitely gives me hope, and of course (even though I feel a bit like giving up at the moment)I won't give up. I guess, I just got to believe that when the time is right, things will fall into place and that love will find me. I am generally a happy, bubbly and positive person, but I am only human and I have my bad days as well. I just wish finding the right person to settle down with would be a bit easier and more straight forward. But as one of you said, just got to be patient, so I will wait patiently and hope that soon the right person will come my way :) I am turning 30 this year and I am definitely ready to settle down and start a family!

dont put so much emphasis on trying to find them,sometimes u can try to hard i had a lookat ur profile and theres absolutely nothing wrong with you,just be confident in yourself and let ur personality shine through and when u least expect it someone will fall in love with who ur

Yep this can be so... But we have to remenber we are not the only one in this boat...there are lots of others feeling the same way.. :-)
