Want beautiful sun flowers in the garden?........cheap..dont buy the garden packets of seeds...buy A whole kilo of sun flower parrot seeds for only $3.....they are the same

you can make a small casting worm..set up urself for as little as $5....buy a 90 cents bucket from the supermarket or bunnings....sit a plastic kitchen colander on top..sheet of newspaper on that.....put some worm castings in that....and keep putting ur kitchen scraps in there to feed the worms.......keep a lid on like an old large saucepan lid or similuar....cup of water everyday to keep moist.............you will end up with nitrogen worm juice in the bucket......PLANTS LOVE it

thanks for that..........we have .like alot of homes..have a saftey switch in the meter box...if something is faulty it turns everything off............has only happened once recently........jug had had it.....so i went out and bought a Russel Hobbs STAINLESS STEEL jug for $5...........all is good now...will always buy second hand

AND if you love tomatoes............dont go and spend money on those little punnets from nurseries........any tomatoes u dont eat or left over cuts...............just throw them into part of ur garden that is humous..............not the bin............i havent bought tomatoes of any sort for 5 years now.......................they taste better when they are propergated on their own

i am a big fan of recycling...........saved alot of money that way......

recently i turned one of those two burner barbies with just a lid not hood......................

into a plant stand but could be also made into a chair.............just take out the metal chamber in the middle..disgard..............saw the right lengths of hardwood. (which i had) in the middle.............put a few coats of varnish over the whole lot................great idea...............

only had to take the metal chamber to the tip..so free dump

JUST A WORD ON SOLAR ENERGY....................


we had three different company,s come out to do quote on our property for solar panels when there was a great rebate........


like alot of people that doesnt suit the property for savings.............alot of hooooooooooo haaaaaaaaaaaa...................sadly..........


none of our roofs faced northerly aspect............hence...yes go and put solar panels on but getting any benefit fom solar power was zilch...................


not it all cracked up to be...

have to save power some other way

sounds like ur tv needs to have a nice FUNERAL.........if you have contents insurance try that...if you had a safty switch attached to your meter box it would be tripping out all ur power.....get rid of it before it catches on FIRE

I SUPPOSE YOU COULD WATCH PROGRAMS ON UR COMPUTER TILL U GET ANOTHER TV...GO TO GUMTREE.COM.....LOTS OF GREAT STUFF CHEAP.....I BOUGHT MINE FROM A LADY WHO WAS SELLING EVERYTHING TO MOVE OVERSEAS.......a wealthy person who didnt need the money.just needed her house emptied as she sold it.....good luck

tHANKS FOR UR REPLY.....i havent seen a plasma at the tip or or in a second hand shop...if they are free thats all their worth.....i did get a surround sound system and an italian Belo custom made unit it all sits on........the unit alone is still sold for $500..and the surround system for $650..and the plasma still sells for $780...so i got a great deal... but yes alot of old analogs they still try to sell.................considering the cost of sending anything overseas i dont think its worth the money............after all the terrible flooding in queensland i should think we need land fill here.................cheers

Thanks for the great tips...........reminds me............i dont use smelly clothes softener anymore..its heaps cheaper to buy the LECTIC SODA.....in a kilo bag for about $3 where you find the bluo and stain removers isle of supermarket......it is fantastic for soaking those achey feet.....

in these times of difficult economic....times i would like to volunteer...some thoughts on trying to save well earned dollars

Electricity..............
turn everything off at the power point when you go to work or just a short outing..............except of course fridge

anything like ..jug..microwave..electric clock..plug in smelly things.all take up power when u work........turn them off....................it only takes 2 minutes to reset ur electric clock..which we only check in the mornings before we go out to work or whatever.....................DONT LOOK FOR UR FAVOURITE COFFEE.ONLY WHEN SHOPPING.ONLY BUY WHAT IS ON SPECIAL.SUPERMARKETS PUT DOWN PRICES THAT HAVENT SOLD IN THE LAST MONTH ETC
