I have more of an honour system going, the kid cleans her own room as well as her own bathroom and toilet, she does the dishes and washing when needed, if I haven’t done it already, most important is she gets herself up and goes to school, on time! I work full time! I start at 6am finish at 4pm, so she is required to do more than most kids would at her age, she had a job that payed $30 per week, but that meant her walking home at night after catching a train, or me having to drive her to work and back, so instead of her going to work she does her home work from school, besides, the government are paying me $429.00 per fortnight to look after her, as well as the $200.00 per week I am saving not having to pay child support, plus the added education tax allowance I get now? I think $50 is a good deal, if you do the maths, plus I manage to fix any needs she may have, for cloths or personal items, that girls don’t normally feel comfortable asking their dads to buy,
With all this I have an open and honest relationship with my !5 year old, she tells me everything, almost, there are something’s a Dad doesn’t need to know?
cheers
