Can anyone tell me why, in a 3 year relationship, when both parties were happy to, not ever get married- both having been there before, that a guy would complain that the woman was too emotionally involved? Is he a commitment phobic or just lost interest. He always said he was happy in the relationship!

Couldn't attempt to answer that based on the info you give. I don't even know what 'too emotionally involved' could mean without observing the situation. Has he been watching Opra? Strange language for a man.

No we had agreed from the start to be up front if we had issues and that we both had our space, and to b exclusive to each other in our relationship.

Has the relationship broken down at this stage?

Lots of times relationships just become stale and need a shot across the bough to reboot. Do something different or unexpected.

Aim carefully.

Yeah! Thats what I said. But can you be 'too emotionally involved' in any relationship? That sounds wrong to me? I mean if your in a relationship with a guy and your totally commited to it 100% how can you be making a mistake? He had no other complaints except the usual one- my driving -and as I said he told me he was happy in the relationship so the two statements dont tally. confused

MEN!!!!!never go to them for help on a tuesday...
Lets be honest, the guy's bored out of the relationship and it could be both need space..Oh yes u can be 'too emotionally involved in any relationship' that it chokes u to death.
He was lying about being happy, probably found someone else..
But in saying this he might have a different story so i can't really judge.. professor never mind plenty of fish on this site.
