It put me briefly off the event - not due to being afraid of the mail or the poster (who I'm fairly sure is/was a regular poster who got creative and set up an account just for this purpose) but just who wants a night of hassle if they did take it upon themselves to cause a bit of hoopla that night. Either way with the last Dublin meet it ultimately didnt matter as I ended up going home to NY for the holidays so nasty message or no nasty message I wouldn't have made that meet. I'm aware (as someone else said) what can ultimately happen in a crowded pub if they did decide to act on their words/threats. So it didn't bother me at all in that regard - it did however bother me that (in my opinion) a regular poster would go through the trouble of creating a profile for the simple means of threatening me regarding a meet. Granted, I know I may not be everyones cup of tea here, and that's fair enough, plenty aren't mine either, but in no way would I go through the trouble of setting up another profile just to harrass/annoy them. If I have 'issues' with someone, overall I'll just ignore them and their posts - live and let live - its a public forum, plenty of room for everyone here - or if they decide to get personal with me on the public forums, I use private mails to sort it out - or at least say - live and let live, build a bridge and get over it and all of that - I mean you do have to be over 18 to use the site - but I guess that doesn't take into account emotional age - just physical age!
One of these days I would actually like to get to a meet. Anyone up for arranging a boxing night - take on and box your CS Forum rivals - battle it out once and for all! Any takers? The Cork meet is sounding really good but am thinking that will be quite a treck for myself and will have other committments floating around that time aswell - but who knows - I know the date and I just might suprise y'all
