I think Adele is that her name has a great voice but is she as good as Minnie Ripperton, Shirley Bassey, Stevie Nicks, Annie Lennox, Mary Black, Cyndi Lauper, Chrissie Hynde or even Eva Cassidy, music is a personal choice I think this lady has such a haunting and beautiful voice and does a great version of this classic

There are very few female vocalists that make me go wow whenever I hear them, but Adele and Imelda May would be two of them.

To each their own. I always thought Cyndi Lauper sounded like a child with bad diction. I liked her songs, but that was in spite of her voice, not because of it. JMO.

I'm not disagreeing with you. Great songs, not crazy about the voice. On Roy's version of I drove all night is much better. JMO.

Well I think as always Roys voice is just amazing but I think Cyndis wasnt that bad, Time after Time is a classic as well as True Colours its a good song as well

Time after Time, true colours and indeed girls just wanna have fun were great songs. I just don't particulalrly care for the singing voice. Sometimes it's not all about the voice. In the same way Ronnie Drew and Bob Dylan did not have good voices, but they were fantastic vocalists.

As opposed to that, Leona Lewis has a voice so good it almost makes me drool, but I would rather listen to a Cyndi lauper CD than hers. That probably makes no sense whatsoever.

Yea I have to agree she Leona Lewis has a great voice and again Id have to agree I would prefer to listen to Stevie Nicks, Eva Cassidy and other female artists before I would listen to her
