I believe seeing yourself in someone else is a turn on. Not necessarily color but physical attributes such as eyes, facial structure etc... what do you think ?

Nope.........I'd be afraid of what I see
Physically it doesn't mean much to me as I'm attracted to different types of people physically. Its much more attractive to me to see myself in others emotionally, morally with a similar sense of humour. Never the same though as that would be boring

I hear rumor that that's the norm in some of the southern states.

I believe that a lot of people who have similar looks often end up together, and when they have kids, the kids look like both people.
I think there is something inbuilt, even if most people are not aware of it, that draws people with similar features together.
I think it is primal, in order that both families accept the children.
Here is an excerpt............
"Other studies have shown that partners who are genetically similar to each other tend to have happier marriages. Similarities in personalities and physical features might be one way to gauge genetic similarity."

It might be a turn on, yes. Physical similarity may be a sign of a soul mate, I guess. But it depends on how much you like your physical appearance. If you don't like the way how you look from the outside, than it could be felt like repulsion, too.

Maybe there is something to it, its not something I have ever thought about really. I would have thought emotional likeness would have been far more important

Hi Vinny
On studies done on how men judge a women on sites like this to go out with, they have found that men tend to look at faces, almost exclusively.......
Of those who read profiles, many said it was only secondary, or not important at all, except for location etc.....
