Shy? Not me. I have been at times, and looking back, it probably was good. I may have avoided additional problems, in my younger days.
I've outgrown the shyness. I think it comes with age. You learn that if you use that as an "excuse" not to approach someone, you will keep wondering what "could have been". I'm too old to be shy.

Yup, i can relate to you Paws.
think it is fear like one guy above said. we just have to keep going out of our comfort zone for it to get better. the more we do the better it will get.
i did last night.....got a business card out of it and a new "hot" friend.
