I love the Sainsburys Basics range of ready meals if I am too tired to prepare a meal. The Spag Bol is really lovely, and these value or basics ranges of meals usually have less preservatives, chemicals, etc. With some coleslaw and olives. As Tomcat would say, "yum yum."

The Shepherd's Pie and Spag Bol are the best, although of course there are others. I don't know what the Pro Points are, but each of those two are 300 calories or under. Some people thumb their nose up about basics range of supermarket food, but Sainsburys are really great quality. Each of their Basics ready meals can be microwaved in about 5 minutes, or best to oven-cook so the potato toppings brown nicely. Each meal is 85p or less. Someone else mentioned to me their Basics crisps are good and on moneysavingexpert dot com in the Food forum there is a whole thread on what is good and what is not good for Sainsburys Basics range. It is worth looking at. You will find their Basics range in the fridge section, not the freezer section. Have a good evening Crystal.

Two roasted chicken drumsticks, home-made potato salad including chopped spring onions and chopped gherkins, coleslaw, tom and cue, and being the pig I am I am eating a couple of slices of fruit bread! My daughter is staying with me - she lives overseas usually, and I got in all the old food she used to love before she moved away, but now her tastes have changed and she doesn't like that sort of food anymore. Everything tastes of nothing to her as she is so used to highly flavoured food! She has agreed to buy her own food from the specialist shops.
