EVEN AFTER BEING DECORATED NUMEROUS TIMES ITS STILL COMING THROUGH.
I KNOW ITS DANGEROUS AND A HEALTH RISK.
WHO KNOWS WHAT ABOUT ASBESTOS?

THANKS HUN, HAVE READ IT, YES ITS DANGEROUS AND NEED A SPECIALIST TO SEE TO IT. I HAD A GUY CHECK IT ALREADY AND ITS SO EXPENSIVE TO TAKE CARE OF THIS. JUST HAD THE PLACE DECORATED IN DEC AND ITS ONLY MARCH. I DO WONDER IF I DO NOTHING WILL IT STILL BE DANGEROUS JUST TO LEAVE IT AS IT IS. ITS AN EYE SORE FOR SURE NOW, BUT JUST HOPING THAT IT DOES NOT START TO FALL OFF.

Thank you hun, yes its got to be sorted its now beyond repair, and needs stripping the ceiling that is. I know the wise cracks that might follow that word. Its not a joke here, its bad bad news. I cannot believe they sell properties knowing that there is this stuff in the pain or the popcorn ceilings as they call it. So there are so many houses etc., with this in them. How the hell are we suppose to know? damn bad.

my step father is 82 worked as a plumber from apprenticeship to director for the same company all his life ,just been diagnosed with absetosis,as a result of working with this ,he is very breathless now ,he retired 17 years ago ,apparently it the absetos has been sleeping ,get the experts in V and get it outI HAVE ASBESTOS ON MY KITCHEN CEILING WHICH IS WORRYING NOW.

Waiting the experts to make an appointment for it to be done.
They said they have to put up a tent etc., and scrape it all off and yes its very expensive to have done.
I hope this does not kill me I escaped the Middle east. To come to UK to be killed by asbestos! yikes.

Hi and thanks, no I have to pay for it myself. I do hope to get it sorted out soon, as its an eye sore at the moment, and the bubbling is like acid corrosion and spreading all the time, its like its moving! I just hope it does not start to fall. Sail get rid of it ASAP. Apart from having an atomic power station in yer garden its life threatening. it cause the lungs to clog with fibres and basically suffocate you, basically the same disease that coal miers suffer from with the coal dust.
The only thing is you cant just rip it out and chuck it in the bin, you need a certified company to come in and remove and dispose of it. The biggest offenders are night storage heaters. They are loaded with upto 50 kgs of asbestos bricks and lagging.

So I am well and truely stuffed, as my whole house has those storage heaters as well. I am a little asbestos factory all by myself. Fantastic! I may as well book the crem now!! Still waiting the specialist guys to contact me. Better get a new morgage or damn well move!

Thanks for that info about the storage heaters -- I've passed those notes onto a friend who I know has them.
