Met a guy from Donegal and tho I told him we're 4 hrs away from eachother he's determined to see if we can make a go of it.
I'm pretty hesitant because of the distance but he is perfect for me. I've been looking for this guy a looong time so shud I go for it or let it pass me by because of the distance, I mean, can it last?

Yep, it can last.
But, one of the pair must consider a possible move at some stage in the future for it to be successful in the very long-term
Go for it....if you don't you will always be wondering if it could have worked. It won't be easy, but if it's what you both want, you will be able to make it work. Good luck

if hes mr right then what have you to loose. might be worth a try. at least give it a go. who knows. hope it works out either way
My opinion would be, give it a go. If it's meant to be, the distance won't matter.
I had a long distance relationship with someone which didn't work. I think now that the distance wasn't the real problem, we weren't right for each other. The distance shouldn't matter if you want to be with someone....although it will make matters more difficult.....i.e. who will do most of the travelling etc, could lead to the odd bit of friction.

hi
my last few have been longish distance, at first it's fine as you don't want to be smothering them or vice versa, but after a while it becomes an obstacle in my experience, not for me i must admit, i like my space, but my last girl used to throw wobblys over it, longterm you have to ask yourself these questions 1 are you going to move to donegal 2 will he move to you 3 can you afford the price of long ditance 4 have you enough trust for a long distance thing.....

Best of luck with it.
Think that's what has me worried. I had a long distance relationship already and I moved for him but when I moved, it was a disaster and we didn't work out at all. But as you say looking back now, we hadn't been working anyway and had been putting it down to miscommunication and living so far apart.
Hadn't thought about that aspect of it. Wouldn't be so foolish to do the same again unless I was 100% sure.
Thanks for all the good advise, think I might go for it so!
