Hi....don't be shy, if you are creative and artistic share some photos of your work here with friends and potential partners. Let them see that artistic side of you.
I need to get myself off this computer and sketching/ painting again before the eye sight goes and the arthritis sets in.
I did this sketch a very long time ago when I was 15. It is done on 'scrapper board', a silver foil card coated in black ink which is then scratched off with a fine pointed tool.

RDM59: Thanks A, I'm kind of scared to give it a try again in case I can't do it anymore ....
Hey R!!!
What bril drawing!!! Love it!!
Don't be scared ...
After my initial introduction to art when I was in my mid 30's, I did art for about 3 years only night classes ... 2 hours once a week ...
Then I re-married and "things weren't conductive to creativity" sooooooooooooo I didn't touch my art materials for nearly 10 years ...
What I found when I started again is that I was even better than when I stopped ... My portrait skills had moved on in leaps and bounds AND although before, I was pretty good at life drawing/painting and still life, I was incapable of creating ANYTHING out of my head ...
Lillym: Very good...... great attention to detail.
.. thanks.... detail I can do. Thinking back, most of my work was very technical, 3D perspective drawings etc but I'd like to make an attempt to get away from that. Abstract painting is where I would like to go, if I can shake off the technical disciplines that is.

You could use the technical knowledge to create amazing abstracts or surrealist drawings/paintings

Go for it!!!!!
Cheers EW .... .... I had a thought about going to night classes to help get me started again and I've also never done any oil painting which is something I want to have a go at, with tuition. I used to doodle with minature water colours and pastel drawings too.
I'm better with making things up, I can invent a portrait rather than recreate a real likeness, with that I am hopeless. Pottery is another on the "to do list". Perhaps one day.

Your drawing reminds me of one I did on my etch a sketch 45 years ago.
Now if only I knew how to transfer an etch a sketch drawing onto here and if only I knew where that etch a sketch went screen thingie even is
