Funny, I was thinking something similar when I saw your thread.
I was thinking, are we a sad bunch of people sitting with our laptops/computers chatting to people we have never, and may never meet.
I joined this site in the hope of getting a date but now I'm mostly on just the forums.
Yea i think there is i benn doing this internet dating for a while now it just hit and miss sometimes.

I agree, if you go around with a checklist, you will never find a partner....perfect or otherwise. Once there is some kind of connection, you have a chance

I'm sure there is, depends how hard you look. I guess you have to be specific? Could happen you meet someone offline as well. My friend met her current boyfriend online, they are together over 2 years so it does work for some people but I reckon not for most!

Yeh I joined as it was recommended to me by a member and so I did and from the first night having great craic im actually more interested in having a giggle with people on the forums than looking for romance!
I dont think internet DATING is for me but I have made some really good friends through it and you being one on them, so Im happy with that.

i found here by accident and joined not knowing what to expect at all. kinda felt it would go better than it did to start with but the first two dates i went on were alright just didnt go any further and felt a bit like i was wasting my time. went to the meet in drogheda and had a ball, met some good friends and hoping to meet a few more on saturday
can i just add the point that women in general, i wont say men are totally diff but we are diff 2 a certain extent.. women want specific things maybe a list of 3 or 4 and if u dont have one of them then thats u out the window.. i just think and i have said this on numerous occasions that Some people take this thing 2 serious, literally as if its their last chance saloon 2 find love in life lol.... chillax and things will take their own course :)
I know loads of happy couples who have met their partners on line. Its fun to chat and if you meet someone that you connect with fantastic and as they say you can never have too many friends. I have met so many precious people on line that i have he pleasure to call friend. I do believe we have to believe we will met te right peoson not worry about the how...
