I have a friend who is getting married to a gal from his home state, but he looked in Russia one time. These guys are usually 60 plus and look at women of 40... can only liken them to the Brits in the same age group that look in Thailand at the same 40 age group...thoughts on this??

My thoughts are, men who persue younger, usually foreigh women are insecure and inadequate. They really would'nt be comfortable with an intelligent, confident mature woman. jmho.

most of my country men have been married to russian women.the reason is they r beautiful nice and easy.most men here who is working in russia got 2 wifes.one in russia another one back home.

Well my girlfriend's Russian, and that's because I don't find many intelligent and cultured young British women around, and the ones that there are regard being intelligent and cultured an achievement in itself - which I don't like or agree with.

Think i have to agree there V, always baffled me though. My brothers friend who is 59 took himself off to Thailand after two failed marriages, picked up with a woman who was 23 years younger and married her, it lasted 10 months. like you say these guys are a little emotionally unstable and are looking for an ego boost after a hurt....

The reason? Russian men have died early because of smoking and drinking. In 2008 and 2009, I was on a Russian website to talk with many of these women. (They drink, but don’t smoke). The Russian women don’t want to come to USA, but would rather have men (USA Military in particular) to come to Russia.
I got the feeling that Russian women respect the US Military more than their Government’s.

I have to say I agree with you, we've all seen the type.
But I have to say, given that my other half is a Russian, that young Russian women over here are not always the freeloader looking for the man with a lot more money than time.

I’d say for those interested it’s simply because the odds of an older guy finding a younger women are much higher in certain countries. Now is it true love, long lasting love; the percentage could be debated though I’m sure it does exist.
It works both ways, in some countries more than others it’s more common to find older women looking for younger men for a holiday fling or more.
