I have a friend who is getting married to a gal from his home state, but he looked in Russia one time. These guys are usually 60 plus and look at women of 40... can only liken them to the Brits in the same age group that look in Thailand at the same 40 age group...thoughts on this??

not just american men. But here in germany a lot of men are "buying" girls from Thailand. And yes for me it is a kind of buying. They have catalouges and they look in it for women like you look in a catalogue when you want to buy stuff,like clothes.
I guess men are just afraid of women at their age and in their country because we are independent. We have our own jobs, our own money and we dont see men like they are our kings
But there is one thing for sure, if a women from this country live here in german for a while they are going to change and they are not so nice and friendly like they were at the beginning. They are learning very quick. Poor men

There are few factors. First they don't speak English and is quiet in the house, by the time they will learn the language the men will go deaf and this makes them happy. Second they need one third of the money to feed them because they are one third the size of an American woman. Third the Russians don't have these consulting meeting to teach them how to take the men properties when they divorce them. and many others.Does this help?

Is it due to jealousy, spite, a feeling of inadequacy, or a genuine interest to understand why some men and women choose to date or marry outside of their own culture or country.
I know of quite a few couples that are happily married or together, where one is from another country, like Russia, Phillipines, Thailand, or elsewhere.
Not a damn thing wrong with it, and their reasons are their own, nobody else's business.
If you have issues with it, look within yourself for your answers.

My experience of Russian women after living there for a couple of years is that they look after themselves physically, (sometimes OTT in my opinion), and they look after their men without losing their independence. They are generaly very strong women you know.
Those who are seeking older men in order to obtain a passage out of Russia may well be a different kettle of fish. I didn´t meet any of them.

women from such countries tend to be subservient and unlike me who will talk back and say something 20 times when he says it only once.
