quick translation from a recipe:

Hot lightning is an old Dutch court. It is a stew consisting of 2 parts potato, one part sour apples (goldreneit) and 1 part sweet apples or pears.

Variants of the court obtained by the addition of fat during cooking, or using pears instead of apples. Another variant is "thunder and lightning hot", with French ham and mustard are added

Strange... my ex's mother and father have lived in Den Haag all their lives. But, they could not eat spicy food. Maybe that's why I don't know it.

In that case, you can make me Sesame Chicken. I have a fantastic recipe for it, but I don't make it anymore because it's just too tedious when cooking for one person.

If i was there i would. not a problem.

Maybe you could ask someone in your local market.
Then you wouldn't be dinning alone

I have to know a person really well before he is invited into my home... or I go to his. Basic safety protocols.
