woodstock1: ........yeah- i agree......if a chick did like makeup as part of her character, she certainly should wear it for her date.......of couse, the dames who think they do not want it- or need it- well- they will argue like a demon-ess out of hell....!......correct makeup can do wonders for any broad......the smart chicks know that enhancement of their feminine qualities is a sure way to get a husband.......they realize that they are competing with chicks on tv.....in magazines......all of these are made up......chicks exist to please men...........a pretty girl is like a melody........today's liberated dames could learn a lot from the sixties makeup era.......mary quant was fab in her philosophy.....

rolling on the floor laughing laugh rolling on the floor laughing

There's some truth in what you say. The words 60's and era are true. Today's liberated women are the product of the 60's era when they learned they can be free and not dependent on men/husbands who think like you!!!

A pretty "chick" nowadays is like an elusive melody for men who want to controle and use her.

RobertGill: You need to look at your self
Make-up is chemical, do you put chemicals on your body to please others,

Many women I know look 100% better with-out make-up, Make-up is a commercial commodity, its limits & application controlled by multi national comedic industry,

You seem to have been bought-up with a view, the woman is there to please you, & hence, she must o-bay your standards for woman, You appear to be very misguided, & under the allusion you are an authority of where woman should be, there place in society, being up-set at a woman for not wearing make-up, is, narrow minded, intimidating, stubborn, uneducated, demanding, offensive, rude, & not necessary in a modern, democratic society,

Woman have choices, there body, there life, Don't like-it !!!!

musicfreak: When I go out or even to the store I always put makeup on, but I do it lightly so it looks natural. For night time, a little more eye makeup. But I really hate the Kim Kardashian painted face look. She cakes it on. High maintenance or what!

I don't do it for the man, I do it for me to make me feel better........OK, that's a lie it's a little (I said a little) for him too.

Yay! I've said it before and this won't be the last time...

Ones it happened that one girl came to meet me without make up.I was upset and asked her why she didnt do make up .She told me that she is from work and didnt have time to do so.I think she was upset with my direct question, too.but i dont care.she would think abt it before coming to a date.

Like I said, I do it mostly because it makes me feel better as I feel more attractive with some on. And of course who are you trying to attract? I'm not gonna lie. laugh But it's not just men, don't we want to look our best to everyone? I think most girls look better with a little on as it accentuates your features. But I think we worry too much about what guys think because on this forum and other places I've seen it seems overwhelmingly that men don't prefer it or only like a little. It's going to come off anyway. You could have a beautiful girl dressed to the nines and with her hair done beautifully and can look good natural. I wouldn't focus on the makeup so much.

If you are shallow enough to get upset because a lady did not put on make-up to please your eye, then you deserve to live with your own reflection.

Most women put on make-up for themselves, not to please someone else. Because they like it, because they like the playfullness of having been all dolled up. Most women don't put that much interest in make-up because is not what makes them be who they are.

For myself, I like make-up, I started playing around with make-up since I was very young. I rarely put make-up to go to work, unless I know I have the time, or if I'm meeting VIP clients where image is crucial and I usually don't give a flying...crap about who sees me without make-up on.

But if I'm going on a date, make-up usually lifts my spirits and I feel good, because I know that I look good. If I'm in such a rush and I don't have the time to prepare appropriately for a date, I rather move it to a different day or time.

But it is not a pre-requisite. And if a man that I hardly know gets all worked up because I didn't wear make-up to meet him, I would just get up and leave him there. He doesn't deserve and explanation, nor would I apologize to him for not wearing make-up on MY FACE.

my very humble opinion.

Acting like that you are more a spoiled child than a VIP, believe me.

If you have said somehting about her coming to the date with her hair really messy and bad breath, I mean that's lack of hygiene and really nasty...but make-up? C'Mon!

yes I think for the first few meets it's not a bad idea - if she normally DOES wear it

I personally do not wear it everyday

but I also like to eventually have someone know what I look like wiht out it - the real me, so to speak - I have a no makeup photo on my profile

and maybe that is what she wanted to show you - to be herself, no pretense

that could be a good thing too
