Boban1: ah, see ... In my country,I don`t know about the rest of the world,Chiropractors are not recognized by the official medicine ( I hope that came out right)
We use them in conjunction with conventional medicine here. Some doctors surgeries now have chiropractors surgeries there too. They refer people to each other. We often have spineologists too and a lot of people use them. When all that fails, they come to me.rolling on the floor laughing

I'd grab onto a rafter or the top of a door and gently hang with feet just off the ground/floor and stretch the back mussels

I thought that by hanging from my legs it allowed my back muscles to be loose, if you hang from your arms your back muscles are tight (not that I remember trying that)dunno

That could do untold damage, IF you could straighten up enough to stretch up to the top of a door, in the first place, without passing out from the pain.wine

GingerBe: What you did would have had the same effect as traction. It does work for some, depending on what was wrong in the first place. Glad you were able to fix it.

deroderidder: hit your hand with a hammer,
it reduces the pain in your back to hardly noticable

it sounds like sciatica; from the sciatic nerve; the only thing to remedy it is resting it and taking it easy. It is slow heeling as well.
