How far would you travel to find love? (77)
I haven't travelled that far to meet someone but met a gorgeous man on this site. He had to drive 4 hrs to the airport, 4 hr flight from Darwin in the NT to the Gold Coast, Qld to see me at least once a month. Aaaah 
Sadly he couldn't sell his business interests up there and I felt my life was on hold ...... who knows? We are still in touch even though I have a new man in my life but distance can get in the way.

Yes I suppose distance is a real proplem and even if we fell in love with someone
it would still be so very hard to make things work

The crunch comes when you realise that maybe you have something special but you live there and I live here - so what happens now? who moves? will it be the same if we are closer or will the excitement not be there? all things that have to be weighed up? But part of life I guess.
Things happen and yes, they can get in the way of long distance relationships, but if you want something bad enough, you will find a way, no matter how tough it is....

In my case I had to weigh up giving up my job, my home- plus I have 2 teens?? What would I do with them? Take them with me? No they wouldn't want to move and leave their friends, their home. He is almost retired and ready to do the - hey let's hit the road and travel, I am not quite at that stage. Just more stuff to think about, too hard. Practicalities and boring - but facts of life.
