A sandwich made the evening before, ready to eat for the morning - usually an egg sandwich or a slice of cheese. Breakfast is important! Protein based if possible.

Jeeepers: I'm going to work on an empty stomach, hoping to munch something down after getting to work, but some days there just isn't enough time. I don't cook breakfast, do you ?
What is your "first thing in the morning" eating routine ?

Would you make breakfast for your partner, or expect it ?

This is like going grocery shopping while hungry, not the best idea.

Have a great day everyone !

I rush round every morning making packed lunches:) all I have time for is coffee, plenty of it. Would be nice to have someone to make breakfast for other than my teenage kids...and yes for someone to bring me breakfast in bed for a change.

sigh

jonnt: Best iff you eat something ,

Otherwise your body starts to eat itself .

Eat something

Even if its only a Packet of Maltesers.

Cereal or yogurt is much healthier than a packet of Maltesers laugh

You're right though, its important to eat something for breakfast....so I've been told uh oh

I have trouble stomaching food in the morning and eggs and cereal are two foods I can barely stand. Eggs make me sick and cereal gets digested in minutes flat and tastes like cardboard. So, all I really want in the morning is coffee and bread. At work, I used to put cookies in my cubicle or bring baked goods.

Whatever you do, avoid eating giant muffins every day. I used to eat Otis Spunkemeyer muffins and Sam's club muffins every morning and gained weight fast. Croissants are the same. All air and butter, so they're fattening but not filling.

Better to eat French bread, rye toast, egg sandwiches with thin layers of egg, or even dinner leftovers. I like vegetarian sausage and rye toast with oatmeal.

When I was in a ren faire I used to eat 2 Mc Donalds sandwiches every morning and hardly needed anything for lunch or dinner.

Protein and fibre is more filling than carbs and will keep a person fuller for longer. In fact Weight Watchers here in the UK has changed its analysis of the points system of food after researched that not all calories are used the same and calories from protein and fibre actually need more digesting therefore burning off more calories in the digestion process, and yet these two groups of food are more filling. I have some smoked mackeral in the fridge which I will mash up and mix with some soft cream cheese and put on toast for my breakfast tomorrow. Yummy.
