Ho hum, I have a 13 hour shift today, don't finish until 11pm tonight and I am bored. I have had 1 customer in 4 hours so far. I often kill time by being on here or playing games but I get bored with them pretty easily. I have cleaned, mopped, shop looks great and there is only so much cleaning that can be done. Anyone else got any good idea to help kill time?

AgentAjax: I wish I could be bored at work! I cut the 2 top tendon’s in my thumb, now I have to sit at home with a cast until 10/6
I feel your pain. When I was about 8, I cut the tendon in my middle finger (long story containing mud pies and beer bottles) and now I cannot bend down the tip of my finger. So after nearly bleeding to death and almost losing my finger, I had plastic surgery on it and although I can't bend the tip, I can still do everything with it. Hopefully the advances in surgery will have you fully recover from it.

I have a scar that goes 2/3rds the way through my finger where I cut it then a scar over the top that runs the length of the middle segment of the finger (probably about an inch) and my finger is a bit disfigured as it looks pregnant down the bottom. It isn;t completely hideous though. After 30 odd years, it is still sensitive if I scrape it on something.

My daughter Bev did that in a race when a horse lost his footing. After she came off she was sitting on the track looking at her thumb it was right round the other way and hanging down! she just straightened it put it back into its socket and rode in all the races for the rest of the day and won a race as well. She could not ride for another 8 weeks after and her thumb looks pregnant as well. Marvelous how adrenalin kicks in I would have passed out on the spot just looking at it.

I sprained my thumbs several times playing volleyball, bloody nasty. That whole fleshy bit at the base was so swollen, had to have them strapped up for 2 weeks. I have been broken and stitched from head to toe and sprained thumbs were the worst!!

No, I was a bit of a sport nut when I was younger. Injured myself playing but of all the sport I played you would think that volleyball would be the least risky but I hurt knees, thumbs, broke wrists, my mum ended up making me give it up.

akaRALF: I love the outdoors but only when it suits me, I wouldn't like to work out there, the weather here would kill me.
