I remember growing up in Vic and you could always get the pickled onions in jars at the fish and chips shops. I love a good pickled onion. NSW and QLD dont do that.
And in NSW its rare as hens teeth to be able to find a good stick of Kabana they have cabanossi. But QLD are into Kabana too which is good.
NSW doesn't really sell flake either they have Hake.
Flake is my favorite fish, big in VIC and QLD.
I know that not really different names, but just different comparisons Ive come across.

at school we used to blow up the popper boxes and jump on them to make them go off with a bang, it used to scare the crap out of everyone.
