never lol sure are they not changing the rules that once you have lived in the country in question full time for 3 years you can declare for them dunno

Under the good friday agreement nordys can have irish or british nationality, so perfectly within their rights to say republic.

Yep you can play underage for another country and then change, so until you have played competitively for the national team you have not committed. So a few play for northern ireland youths and then declare for the republic.

majority only choose republic because there better wen actually the person in question is really from the north.. im all old fashioned in this context.. i think you should only be allowed play 4 your country IF born there or have irish parents.. this granny great granny rule is bull.. look at james mc carthy this week.. the chap doesnt no what he wants dunno

at the moment you can play 4 ireland under the rules that if your granny/grandad or great granny were irish you can play 4 them lol also i dont agree with representing one country at youths and another at senior level

I don't see a problem with anyone of irish ancestry declaring, after all there is 35 million of them in the states. A plastic paddy is acceptable if it makes the squad stronger. We're not Brazil.

Well if they were born in Ireland I think they have more right to play for the national team than someone who wasnt.
