My previous GF is a School Teacher with level two sign language and she mentors a deaf young lady with social and self help skills. She finds it very rewarding. I attended a deaf club meet up in a massive pub in Brighton. It was very strange at first to walk into a pub with 500 people and it being vertually silent.

Have you used Makaton in the past? I used to use it when I worked in special needs years ago but I believe that it is defunct now?
