I am a decent cook, I think............ and those cooking shows bore me to tears, I hate any type of reality show, they are all so "false" hehe
I don't mind the cooking shows, they are better than half the dribble on tv now, at least it is some sort of inspiration for what to cook for dinner. 
Although I really don't see too much tv now. I think like most shows now, one type of show sets a trend then every channel has it's spin offs of it.

My Tv has been turned on for the last 3 weeks...so much crapp, l listen to music instead.

Cooking is bad enough, watching other people do it is dull beyond belief. Having said that, Heston Blumenthal is a bit of an exception. Yay SBS, I love science based documentaries and like the world news.
We also like "Letters and Numbers" on SBS, where you race the clock to find anagrams and do maths puzzles.
