and before lm asked... yes life is treating me well, l got off here and went out into the real world and found myself a fella, he is a great guy...lives about half an hour away. Its going great guns

Good on you for rescueing this dog and saving kitties.

I do it all the time take lost souls in and try and return them to owners and if l cant l do for them what l can. I have just caught two stray kitties and thier mum that a nasty nieghbor left behind...its taken 3 months but l finally tamed them all, the two kitties are going to a wonderfull home together in a week and l'll probably keep thier mum

Thier is a couple here who had one as a house pet for many a year, it was walked every day and its coat was kept in great order...they said it was the most loyal loving dog they'd ever had. Obviously its human family became its flock to protect... So yes Martia they can be kept as pets as with any long haired dog you have look after the coat and it would only end up fat if you let it.

Any dog from the working dog breeds are the most capable of learning but then it depends on how much they want to please you and how strong thier working drive is. Then thiers natural abitilities and senses...my collies have never ceased to amaze me with the gentle acts of kindness they have done for the elderly at the old folks home and one being able to warn me when my son was having a diabetic hypo attack... they are truly amazing
