IMO, most women become feminists through "personal" experience(s)...This makes feminism individual, possibly unique to each woman....
When I am in bed with the man I love, the man who loves me, everything changes....It is no longer about equality...It is only about my desire to please and accommodate his needs...To love and be loved....
Outside the bedroom, when I engage in day-to-day living, i.e. work, socializing, parenting, I demand only that which I am willing to give, equality, respect, honesty....

We can certainly love people who don't love themselves if we just decide to do so. In fact, often that's exactly what they need to help them to escape from their self-condemnation.
