Good things bout being single (68)
duckpate: So many to name ,but just a few....
I can make my decisions and not have to worry "how " the other half feels about it .
I can take off and travel (if i could afford ) whenever I want . There is no travel like it ,just taking off and seeing where your nose takes you.
I can have hairy amrpits (for insulation purposes ) and not worry about it . In winter only , I must stress !
I don't have to share my crips or chocolate .
I can eat garlic 24/7 and not worry that it repells .
I have the run of my life, the freedom to do, and less stress.
Alone doesn't hurt , being in a bad relationship does.

I get to decide how i sort the washload...
I get to have the "last rolo"!...
I get to hold on to the tv remote...
I decide when its "time for bed"...
I get to put up with my snoring...
I get to do my own "feng shui"...
I decide when ive had enough to eat...
I get to live in a cold room in winter...
I get to listen to progressive rock and not bloody C/W music...
I get to let my dogs sit on the new sofa...
I get to have a left hand drive car...
I get to have a recording studio downstairs by the sitting room...

I really can't think of any thing thats good about being single. Most people who are will dress it up...but the bottom line is (JMO) being single sucks....

Oh how could I have forgotten the remote control 
The good thing about being single is the feeling of endless possibility. Anything can happen and your life could blow with the wind so to speak, you could move, make major life decisions or just be as you are if you feel like it without having to think of anyone else. When you are not single you obviously have to consider someone else but then again being attached comes with different benefits to being single.

You know I really came to realise recently that I'm not all that bothered about being 'single', I'm not going out of my way to find someone, nor I dont really need anyone right now...I'm actually quite content and just enjoying life (well the 'life' I have :P) and am looking forward to making new friends more than anything else. Heading off for a month or so in August by my lonesome and can do my own thing when and how I please....excellent!

I couldn't agree more . There are many advantages to being part of a couple . I have nightmare prolems with my house at the moment ,everything seems to be going wrong , at a time when I thought I was about to move .Not that I want a man here to "fix"
all the issues ,but a strong arm around my shoulders ,just being ably to share wouldn't go amiss.
