i went 0on a date to a funeral once
i got to the pub and the wake was in full swing
i wore a white shirt
i got some funny looks
i didnt know it was a wake

If half way, There a lovely hotel by the lake in Athlone, great for coffee /lunch and walk afterward.

a skydive yes but not a chance of getting me to do a bungee 
I've always found that a simple 'hey lets just meet up, have a walk, chat, get a bite to eat' works best, just meet up as 'friends' and not as potential partners or love interests, thus no pressure really. If we get on, we get on, if we dont, we dont, simple as, conversing via email/text is VERY different to in person!
