Green_Sleeves: I've always found that a simple 'hey lets just meet up, have a walk, chat, get a bite to eat' works best, just meet up as 'friends' and not as potential partners or love interests, thus no pressure really. If we get on, we get on, if we dont, we dont, simple as, conversing via email/text is VERY different to in person!

Simple simple!
i like your thinking of agreeing to meet up as friends and see what happens

wexlady41: I would love a date at a funfair!

I've no idea why. Just something I think would be fun. And it's hard to be stressed out and/or shy when you're laughing your head off in the waltzers.

Great idea!!! handshake

I'll put my head on the block here and say that meeting up, for the first time, with romantic notions in mind is crazy! As I'm sure you may know virtual and 'real' life are two very different things, you really dont know someone (no matter how many e-mails/texts/whatever you swapped) no matter how much you may think you do. Meeting up simply as a 'lets just put a face to a name, have a chat, whatever' sorta thing really means you have nothing to lose! Its only at that point that you discover who the person is and if you click, get on, feel there is potential then thats super, but anything up to that point really is fantasy.

irish84: Ok we have a thread on what would you like your date to wear

But

What or where would be your ideal date?
where would you like to take him or her

I went to a place when i was younger with my family and i loved it,it was called glegariff and it was a nice seaside village.Id bring my date there and have a nice meal in one of the resteraunts and followed by a walk along the coastline cos i dont remember a beach. Then to round it up a little log fire and some marshmallows to roast.
