Nope, soz, I disagree, I think the relationship with ones mother and spouse and children is the most important thing and if your "partnership" with your chosen one is as it should be then she/he is your best friend anyway. Often it is demonstrated that peeps do things for their families that they would never do for friends

Hmmmmm! yeah you're right. I was thinking only of my own experiences of course. My friends have always been more important than my family (apart from my children of course). They are the ones who have been with me through thick and thin, good times and bad, not my family

I bet if your kids were asked the same question, their mammy would be at the top of the list
popz567: Friendship is the most important relationship. Do you agree? Why? Why not? plz try to record your opinions here.........
Family first, friendship second, but since my daughter and my mother are my best friends, where does that leave things?...I am thinking when you love someone, really love someone (isn't that a line in a song?) anyway, when you really love someone, friendship is automatic, a given. When I was married, my husband was my best friend... he came before my mother, my child, and my friends.......It's been said if you can count your "true" friends on one hand, you are blessed...I believe this...I know lots of people and I like them lots, but they are not in the same category as my true friends....These are the people I turn to when I need advice, the people I yearn for when I am down, the people I will go the wall for without even giving it a thought, the people who will go to the wall for me....These are the people who know me as well as they know themselves, who love me in spite of my flaws....These are the people I trust and love unconditionally...I could not live a happy, complete life without my friends...

Friendships come in all different forms.
There are those friends that you have known for 40 odd years, then those for 30 odd years and so forth... and the best thing about this type of friendship is... you dont have to see and talk to them regularly... every so often will do..
then you have friends that you see more regularly.. thats good too...
then I have an ex bf who still rings me up to say hello... I reckon we will always be friends.
Then there are the CS friends...
The friendship I have with my children, that's different. The friendship and love I have for my granddaughter is different again...
The friendship I have with my daughter-in-laws families.. and extended families.. now that is quite something special.
